Cheese Breadsticks.

Star Rating:  Five
Schwans Order Number: 634

Holy Cheese Batman.  These babies are perfect.  They had just the right amount of cheese on the inside.  What I liked about them was that when you took a bit, the cheese didn’t all pull out (you know what I am talking about) and all you were left with was a plain old breadstick.   The kids devoured them, in fact Brian came home late and didn’t make it in time for dinner…by then the kids had eaten his breadsticks…you snooze you lose my friend!  These are a must buy again!

I'm.....BACK!! & Homestyle Beef Goulash

Yep, I'm back. Ready to feed your family scrumptious Schwans food! Are you ready? We don't do alot of Schwans in the summer, we tend to grill and eat lots of wraps! Man, I do love me a good wrap, but they just don't seem to do it for me in the fall and winter. We need us some warm food!

Schwans Order Number: 459

My kids LOVED this stuff. Like, asked for thirds kind of love, which was great, but the serving size says four. There is was not enough to serve four. It served three just fine. I had a taste and then ended up eating something else, which is what a good mother does. Feeds her family first...Right?!

So back to the goulash. Everyone says goulash reminds them of funeral food. Now I haven't been to alot of funerals, but I don't ever recall eating goulash. Do you?

This goulash was super saucy, so I served it with buttered bread, so you could scoop up the sauce with your bread and the kids loved that too!

I am not sure I would order this again, being it only serves 3, but I am going to try to make this myself in the near future..anyone have any good recipes?

Now make sure you get signed up with Schwans, they have good coupons on there every once in awhile, the other day they had $10 off a $60 order! Not bad, plus if you sign up for the Schwans Rewards, you get money back with each order and it adds up fast. The only thing with that is that you have to order online, but the nice thing is when the Schwans guy gets there, your order is done, they just have to bring it in! It saves tons of time!

I am a cheater.

(hamburger & onions in Clay Coyote pot)

Okay time for a confession. I haven't fried hamburger in a pan on my stove in YEARS.

I put it in my Clay Coyote Cassoulet: http://www.claycoyote.com/index.cfm/Stoneware-Pottery-Cassole-(-Cassoulet-Pot-)/n/fuseaction/product.display/product_id/12/
then put it in the microwave. I put it in for 2 minutes increments. Taking it out each time, and breaking it up and then putting it back in. It takes about 10 minutes. Zero splatter. If I am making spaghetti sauce, I throw that in once it is cooked and microwave a bit more. Done. All in one pot. NICE~

Grandma Eleanors Secret Jello Recipe (wink wink)

My Grandma Eleanor makes a lot of good food, but this is one of my favorite things she makes...

1 - box sugar free strawberry jello
1 - honey crisp apple
1 - fat free cool whip

Now pay attention this a very difficult recipe. First prepare the jello according to the box, next cut apple into small pieces, add to jello. Put in fridge to set.

Once set, scoop into a bowl, top with cool whip, don't be shy with the cool whip and eat.

Breakfast for dinner.

This is one of our favorite dinners and I always have the ingredients on hand.

1 - bag Orieda Potatoes O'Brien
1 - Jim Dean sausage roll (reduced fat)
Eggs

So there are two options.

If I need it to be a quick - quick dinner...I fry up the sausage and potatoes (according to the package) seperately. Once these are done, put them into one pan, then add scrambled eggs 4-5 or them and put on lid, cook and stir until the eggs are done. My kids love this with ketchup! Oh okay I do too!

If you have more time...

Layer (in a 9x13 pan) frozen potatoes, cooked sausage, cheese (not included above), mix 8 eggs & some milk and pour over the potatoes, sausage, cheese and bake at 350 for an hour.

I love this stuff, I remember my dad making this for us on the weekends, he would use left over baked potatoes tho, I love it then, I love it now!

I heart this cheese.

I S.E.R.I.O.U.S.L.Y love this cheese and so do my kids.

We love it on french bread, or toasted english muffins or on wheat thins or our favorite is to make ham and pickle wraps in torillas or flat out wraps. Spread the laughing cow on the wrap, add ham and some thinly sliced pickles and wrap them up...yummo!

Pasta with a side of Wenis.

Star Rating: 4 Stars

We spent the night in the cities last weekend with the kids. When it was time to decide where to go to dinner, we had narrowed it down to Benihanas, Cheesecake Factory and Bucca di Peppo. Buccas won!

We were seated in this cute little both and Ellery turned her head and low and behold there is a fresco painting on the ceiling to our left of two men angels, one with his back to us and his rear showing and one with his front to us and his package showing. Ellery turns to me and say's 'really mom' and Calvin giggled and pointed and I think I heard him say Wenis (which I chose to ignore, my response would only have caused him to say it 100 more times). Okay so once we got through that fiasco, it was time to order. Ugh how to decide. Calvin ended up getting the kids spaghetti and meatballs and we ordered:

Penne Basilica

Tender chicken breast, broccoli and a light pesto cream sauce with imported Italian penne pasta.

This was delicious! It was a super fun time with them..Wenis and all!
